What is Giloy and where it originated?

According to Ayurveda, Giloy is said to be ‘Amrita’, due to its medicinal properties to prevent various fevers and other critical conditions. Giloy is called one of the three Amrit plants mentioned in the Ancient Indian Scriptures. Therefore, it is also called Amritavalli or Amrita in the Sanskrit language.
